Removing the Masks from Famous Comic Icons by Alex Solis

Removing the Masks from Famous Comic Icons by Alex Solis

Most people have two kinds of personalities that they hold: The one that they want other people to think they have, and the other, which is what they are really like, holds what really goes inside their mind. Very few people know what we are really like, it’s usually our family members and our closest friends. We tend to hold a mask in front of all other people, as a shield that protects us against the outer world. Alex Solis takes this exact concept, and with a clever and humoristic twist, shows us the real characters that reside inside some famous comic icons.

Alex is an Artist that lives in Chicago and works in Threadless, the famous T-shirt site. He has about gazillion T-shirt designs on sale at the site. Alex is a gifted illustrator, and also a break dancer.

I really hope that Alex will continue his latest line of illustrations, of unmasked icons, since they are extremely well done and very funny. Check out some of the images below, and make sure you head over to his site, and have a glimpse at some more of these illustrations, and the other works he produces. You can buy some of his stuff on his Society6 store.
